Pricing & Insurance

Each therapist sets their own fee structure. See “Our Counselors” page for fee of each specific therapist.

We do not accept insurance but offer affordable counseling services.
Most clients find that they can complete counseling with us for less than their deductible amount. Let’s say your deductible for counseling is $2000. Most of our clients complete counseling before they reach that amount.

We offer $25 off of each session for active military, police, firefighters and EMTs.

Privacy Considerations

We increasingly find that clients want their counseling information records protected at a level that does not include going through insurance. By not accepting insurance we do not “file” anything about your counseling to anyone.

We can provide detailed receipts that you can submit to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement. We advise checking with your insurance company to see what your out of network deductible is, and what percentage they reimburse for out of network counseling. You may be surprised to find how high that deductible amount is.

We don't play the blame game.

Often, men are afraid that they will be blamed if they come to counseling. This is not the case at The Couple Zone. We take a relational perspective – which in everyday language is akin to “there are two sides to every story”. We assume that if we were in your shoes we would most likely be responding in very similar ways.

This is important: We do not blame either partner. If either of you are unsure, we ask that each of you commit to only one session initially. This allows you to get to know your counselor a little, let her/him get to know you, see if it feels right for each of you, and your counselor can see if he/she seems to be able to help you reach your goals.
